Dubbed "Fashionista ground zero," this is where you can find storied Rodeo Drive and other world-class shopping venues. Tiffany, Prada, Dior, Gucci, Cartier, Armani - these are only some of the names that will greet you when you walk down the length of Rodeo Drive. Go east and you'll find the flagship stores of such recognized retailers as The Gap, Williams Sonoma and Banana Republic. Further east on Canon Drive you can explore smaller, one-of-a-kind local boutiques. If you want bigger stores, head on to Wilshire Boulevard and shop til you drop at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman-Marcus and Barneys New York.
Shopping and haute couture are big in Beverly Hills, but the city has also made a name for itself in cuisine. You can indulge yourself in the four-star offerings of trendsetting restaurants like Spago, Matsuhisa and Crustacean, or try out local joints like The Original California Pizza Kitchen.
South of Bel-Air and the Santa Monica Mountains, Beverly Hills lies west of L.A.'s Fairfax District and of West Hollywood; north of Beverlywood; and east of Westwood Village. Its major thoroughfares are Santa Monica Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard.
